Amanda Seyfried Taking On Twin Peaks Mystery Role

Amanda Seyfried is taking on a mystery role in the upcoming third season of Twin Peaks. The show will air on Showtime in 2016.

The 2016 Twin Peaks revival is shaping up nicely, and the latest addition to the cast is Amanda Seyfried in a “mystery role.”

The show is on track at Showtime, and David Lynch is back in the driver’s seat, but, as for now, we don’t know what role Seyfried will play in the very long awaited third season of the drama series.

TVLine is reporting that Seyfried has signed on for a multi-episode arc, but there are no details on what character she will play. However, there are whisperings that she may take on the role of the daughter of Cooper and Annie, played by Kyle MacLachlan and Heather Graham.

The third season of the drama, which is set more than a quarter century after the first two seasons, will focus on the life of Dale Cooper. There are reportedly at least nine episodes, and David Lynch and Mark Frost have written them all.

Seyfried is no stranger to television, as she worked in TV before taking the leap into the film industry. She starred in a number of soap operas, including All My Children, and played the role of Lilly Kane in Veronica Mars before starring in Big Love on HBO. Her film career includes roles in Les Miserables, Ted 2, and Gone.
