It’s been reported that the upcoming superhero flick and surefire springtime blockbuster, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will include an after-credits scene related to X-Men: Days of Future Past. Much like Marvel Studios themselves are doing with characters related to The Avengers, fans speculate that good ol’ Spidey could very well be meeting Wolverine and company on the silver screen.
Considering how major a boon it has been for Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and The Incredible Hulk to fuse universes on the big screen, it seems like a logical, history-making step for Sony and Fox productions to make by joining forces to bring such tremendous names as Spider-Man and the X-Men—and, subsequently, Andrew Garfield and Hugh Jackman—into the same 2 hours once and for all.
Naturally, this potential happening has also brought Marvel fans into quite the stir as per whether this hinders or helps Spider-Man’s chances of finally appearing alongside his fellow Avengers at any point in the future – though if Avi Arad has anything to say about this potential matchup, it’s not in the cards just yet.
