These are never easy. It was also going to sting harder being the very first elimination of the season.
Tonight marked the very first elimination of the season, after the Top 13 delivered some stellar performances last night. Notice I said some. Let’s stick with some.
The show kicked off in grand fashion as the Top 13 performed a medley of “Counting Stars” by One Republic and “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons. You know, I don’t normally enjoy the group numbers but it was actually pretty well done.
The show also saw some special performances from Jake Bugg, as well as last years Idol winner Candice Glover, who performed a medley of her singles “Cried” and “Same Kind Of Man”. The performance was absolutely amazing, and I’ve never doubted for a second that she shouldn’t have won last year.
Everyone wanted the results, and they came fast and hard. Who were the unlucky 3 to land in the bottom?
Malaya Watson
MK Nobilette
Kristen O’Connor
I have to admit to being VERY surprised with MK being in the bottom 3. I feel like it was a wrong move by America. The girl is insanely talented.
It was time to find out who was singing for survival, but one person was safe first:
MK Nobilette!!
Now it was down to Kristen and Malaya, and ultimately Kristen had the lowest amount of votes. She sang for her last chance, leaving it in the judges hands but unfortunately it was the end of the road.
We now have our Top 12!!
