American Idol’s season 3 winner, Fantasia, is definitely keeping busy this year. She appeared on the TODAY Show on Wednesday (June 12) to promote her upcoming tour with international opera singer, Andrea Bocelli.

It’s been about 10 years of ups and downs since the American Idol star won her season. Over those years, she released four albums, starred on Broadway, and wrote a memoir – but she was also in the public eye with her fair share of drama. She told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb that she wouldn’t change a thing about it, “It’s part of my testimony and it made me the woman I am today.” It’s good to see her still do her thing and inspire others with her story.

In the interview, Fantasia revealed part of the song list for the Bocelli tour. Fans can expect to hear her take the stage with Bocelli singing “When I Fall In Love” and the Italian song “Canto Della Terra”. She had to learn Italian and enjoyed the challenge.

But that’s not the only thing Fantasia is up to! She also revealed that she will be returning to Broadway in October. But there’s no word on which show she’ll be starring in. She made her Broadway debut in 2007 when she played Celie in The Color Purple and got rave reviews for her performance. So I can imagine that fans will be excited to find out what role she will take on next.
