Hollywood actress Amy Adams recently gave up her first class seat to a soldier on a flight to Los Angeles.
Apparently, the Enchanted star spotted the man in uniform at the gate and quietly asked if she could swap seats with him, even though he was booked into class.
The only reason her act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed: Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2’s Numbers Never Lie, spotted it and promptly tweeted the event!
Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I’m an even bigger fan now.

She went on to say, “I noticed Ms. Adams was in first class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams’ seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she’d given up her seat for him,” Hill told ABC News. “I was incredibly impressed, and I’m not even sure if the soldier knew who gave him that seat. I guess he will now!””
After the switch was made, Amy Adams privately met the soldier at the cockpit before returning to her seat in coach class.
Once the plane had landed, Adams was interviewed by an Inside Edition news crew despite the fact she was trying to be inconspicuous. She said, “I didn’t do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops.”
What a cool woman!
