It was recently announced that, not only would Wonder Woman indeed be making an appearance in 2015’s Man of Steel sequel, but that Israeli actress Gal Gadot would be portraying the red and blue clad Amazonian.
With the addition of any new characters in a franchise, speculation inevitably follows; and Gadot’s addition is no exception. Will she have a love interest? Will Superman be her love interest, thereby creating conflict with Amy Adams’ Lois Lane? Adams certainly hopes not.
Adams has gone on record stating that she hopes Zach Snyder and the other powers at be take the high road and just skip the typical cat-fight-over-a-man storyline that has been exhausted over the years.
Instead, Amy wants to really shock people and have the ladies be friends, according to Coming Soon. ! Now, Amy. That’s just crazy talk! “I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries.”
The Man of Steel sequel, popularly referred to as Batman vs. Superman, is set to zip into theaters in July 2015. The always delicious Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman/Clark Kent, while Ben Affleck will done the batsuit and play the newest personification of the Caped Crusader; an incredibly controversial revelation.
