Anti-Muslim Activist Threatens To Arrest Senator For Iran Deal

John Ritzheimer, an anti-Muslim activist and militia member, has threatened to target Senator Debbie Stabenow over the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Jon Ritzheimer, an anti-Muslim activist and militia member, made a threat to arrest Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow for her involvement in the Iran Nuclear deal.

Ritzheimer made the threat in an open letter that was posted online. Although it did not appear on his own Facebook page, the letter did surface in the online profiles of his supporters. The letter reads, in part:

She will be arrested for treason under Article 3 Section 3 of the Constitution. We have chosen her as our first TARGET due to our strong ties with the Michigan State Militia and their lax gun laws that will allow us to operate in a manner necessary for an operation like this. After we successfully detain her we will continue to move across the country and arrest everyone involved with the Iran Nuke Deal. Even the President who brokered this deal.

Ritzheimer is a member of two militia groups, the Three Percenters and the Oath Keepers, the latter being made up of former current members of the military as well as law enforcement personnel. Ritzheimer himself is a former U.S. Marine.

But, as it turns out, the Oath Keepers are not supporting this move. A spokesperson of the group has told The Washington Times that the militia is not in any way endorsing his actions and are currently in the process of removing him from their organization.

The U.S. Capitol Police is still taking the threat seriously, though, and is currently monitoring the situation.
