Apple hasn’t even officially announced its new iWatch yet, but reports are already coming in surrounding the gadget.
Digital Spy recently tweeted:
Apple's rumoured iWatch could feature a smart pedometer. Would we expect anything less? http://t.co/2aRA7fxriP

The site explains that Apple’s “wrist pedometer step detection” would provide more accurate workout data. The pedometer would learn and adapt the more it was used, and could also detect where it was located on the wearer’s body.
The product had already been rumored to be geared towards health and fitness applications after reports surfaced that Apple had hired medical technology specialists Nancy Dougherty and Ravi Narasimhan.
