Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are reportedly engaged after months of speculation about whether they were together or not.
Celebuzz broke the news yesterday, revealing that a source close to the family said, “It happened on Christmas Eve.” Later adding, “Amber really took her time to make up her mind.”
The couple met on the set on the 2011 film The Rum Diaries and have been very private about their relationship up until last weekend, when they arrived at the Art of Elysium gala at the Skirball Center in L.A. Then they also went to the Golden Globes together on Sunday.
The source also said that Heard “turned him down before she said yes. So she waited and was thinking about it for a long time.”
Heard was previously in a four-year relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree while Depp spilt from his long term partner Vanessa Paradis in 2012.
Meanwhile E! News has added more speculation by reporting that a source saw Heard out with a friend in L.A restaurant Ago on Tuesday, and “Heard was inside for about an hour and a half and, on her way out, she was doing everything to hide her hand.” E! News added, “The actress also waited for the valet driver to open her car door for her, seemingly so as not to have to expose her hand for an extra second.”
Although all the evidence points towards and engagement, neither reps for the couple have yet to confirm the news.
