As if John Green wasn’t already the king of the entire cinematic and literary experience right now, he’s adding another jewel to his crown.
His first novel, Looking for Alaska, is getting the Hollywood treatment! It was announced yesterday that Sarah Polley will both write and direct for the film, which has been running through development since 2005.
John Green had nothing but good words and a whole lot of excitement about the project, sharing the news via Twitter yesterday:
So excited to announce that the brilliant filmmaker Sarah Polley will be writing and directing a film adaptation of Looking for Alaska.

What do you think, fans? You excited to see his award-winning novel come to life in theaters? I’m sure you’re still trying to get over The Fault In Our Stars and are preparing for the upcoming Paper Towns, but another amazing book-t0-film adaptation can only be a great thing.
