Singer Aretha Franklin has been granted an injunction by a federal court banning Amazing Grace, a concert film, from being screened at the Telluride Film Festival.
Directed by Sydney Pollack, Grace features Franklin at a 1972 concert singing gospel songs alongside the Southern California Community Choir.
According to The Denver Post, the injunction grants Franklin the right to have final say for depictions of what was being screened at the Colorado film fest.
At the moment, the film is set to debut in the Toronto International Film Festival next week. No word as to whether Franklin will file for legal action in order to stop that screening as well.
