Ariana Grande is no stranger to compliments, so imagine the young singers surprise when she was compared to the likes of Mariah Carey. It was Rolling Stones Magazine that asked the “Baby I” singer how it felt for her to have her vocal range compared to that of Mariah Carey.

Grande said: “It’s a blessing to get the comparison. When you look at ‘The Way’ it’s obvious, but I’m not worried about it.”

Grande followed up by saying “It’s a massive compliment, she’s the greatest singer in the world, like literally, she’s in the Guinness Book Of World Records. It’s an incredible compliment but it doesn’t worry me, because when you listen to my album as a whole, you get to know me.”

The singer insists that she doesn’t feel any pressure to have a sexually aggressive image.

Grande stated: “I don’t feel much pressure to fit in, I never have. I’ve always just wanted to do my own thing. I have really good friends and really good family and if I don’t fit in somewhere else, I fit in at home. I feel like when I try to fit in, it comes across as not genuine and that is not good. I’d rather just do me and have people say “Oh, that’s interesting, than try and fit in.”

Ariana Grande has just recently hit the top of the record charts with her debut album, Yours Truly. Grande has completely denied that she is dating Nathan Sykes, who collaborated with her on “Almost Is Never Enough”.
