Sean Maher of Firefly fame makes his debut in the midseason premiere episode ‘Blast Radius’ as super villain Shrapnel. Shrapnel is responsible for several bombings, all targeting Sebastian Blood, portrayed by Kevin Alejandro. It will surely make a change to see Blood himself hunted, considering he has become one of the key villains in the series, even hiring mercenary Cyrus Gold to attempt to capture Oliver Queen’s vigilante alter ego.

Shrapnel also attempts to disrupt Blood’s Unity Rally, but this is not his only target. This action-filled premiere will also portray him attempting to lure Arrow himself (Stephen Amell) into a trap.

This trailer, with its one-on-one fight scenes and tantalizing one-liners, will surely whet appetites for what looks set to continue as an exciting season for Arrow.

Future episodes will include Katrina Law, as Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter Nyssa, and Robert Knepper, as DC Universe villain the Clock King.

The series will return to the small screen on January 15 on the CW, whilst UK fans can catch it on Sky1.
