This couple proved the eternal power of love with their adorable marriage proposal…
Marriage proposals are a major point in a couple’s relationship. People end up spending a lot of time and effort on what can become one of the most elaborate, romantic displays of loving another so much that you want to spend the rest of your lives together.
In this technologically savvy day and age, it almost seemed that romance might not be what it used to be. Best selling romance author Durjoy Dutta proved that romance is far from dead in 2016 by actually live tweeting his proposal to his girlfriend Avantika and even getting #marrymeavantika to trend in India.

It started simply with this tweet while his girlfriend was on a plane. This wasn’t Durjoy’s first attempt at a formal proposal. He had actually intended to try to propose when the couple had gone on a trip, but ended up not following through because people we watching them.
In fact, the couple is already set to get married next week even though there was no official proposal. But the romance author wasn’t going to get married without at least an attempt at doing one cute gesture for the love of his life. So what better way to add to a romantic poster board wat the airport than having the internet on your side for a great gesture of love.

His love for her has even inspired some of the characters in his books as well as providing support for explaining what love is during book launches. With his tweets growing and the hashtag trending, the internet waited in eager anticipation for her answer as her plane landed. People didn’t have to wait too long as we were graced with Avantika’s happy response that even referenced one of his book titles.

Although Durjoy might be a respected romance author, this adorable internet/real life proposal definitely might have set the bar high for proposals everywhere.
