Looks like not all Santas belong on the nice list.
Some little kids really look forward to their chance to sit on Santa’s lap to ask nicely for what they want waiting for them under the Christmas Tree. Seven-year-old autistic girl Abcde Santos ended up with only disappointment when the Santa Claus at the Shops at Mission Viejo.
After waiting for a half hour, Santa refused to see the girl just because her service dog Pup-Cake happens to be a pitbull. Even after the family removed the fully trained service dog, the Santa still refused to meet with the girl.
According to the Pup-Cake the Service Dog facebook page, even upon the family’s request for just 30 seconds of the Santa’s time or even just a simple smile or wink at her, he refused because “they support those dogs.”
Even after the reminder by the family about how it was illegal, the Santa had suddenly developed an allergy to dogs.
Abcde only wanted to meet Santa just to ask HIM what he wanted for Christmas so she could make it for him instead.
The Naughty Santa and elf that refused to meet with the girl have reportedly been fired since the incident.
The Shops at Mission Viejo have reported that they will replace the Santa with one that is more compassionate and that they would welcome back Abcde and Pup-Cake for a “special Santa experience.”
Hopefully the special Santa experience will put a smile on the face of a little girl who just wanted to know what he wanted for Christmas.
