Back in August, director James Cameron announced that he would be making three sequels to his hit 2009 film. At the time, it was said that the films would be released each year, starting in 2015. Now we have some idea of when filming will begin,
Currently back in his home country of Australia, Sam Worthington spoke about the sequels during an interview with radio station, Nova 96.9. According to Worthington, principal photography on the first film will begin in October next year. He went on to add that filming of the subsequent films would take place within a year of its planned release.
Along with the film sequels, Cameron also announced that Steven Gould will be writing four original Avatar novels, and Disney is hard at work on their Avatar Land at Disney World, which is set to open in 2017.
