Ever since it was revealed that Ben Affleck was going to be Batman in the Man Of Steel sequel, everyone has been criticizing the decision.
#BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck was a trending topic on Twitter. A petition started up to get Affleck fired from the project.
It seems, though, that Affleck is not without his supporters. Director of Marvel’s The Avengers and nerd god, Joss Whedon has tweeted his support of Affleck.
Affleck’ll crush it. He’s got the chops, he’s got the chin — just needs the material. Affleck & Cavill toe to toe — I’m in.
— Joss Whedon (@josswhedon)

Whedon’s tweet was retweeted a thousand times within ten minutes of posting.

*Joss Whedon takes off his Warner Brothers executive disguise, speaks into wrist radio.*
“It’s done.”
