The Sundance Channel has announced that the French horror series, The Returned, will be returning to the airwaves with a second season.
Sarah Barnett, who is President and GM for The Sundance Channel, had this to say about The Returned coming back for a second season: “We were delighted with the overwhelming critical and fan response to the series, and we expect that season two will continue to seduce and chill audiences.”
The critically acclaimed series takes place in a small town in France where some of the residents randomly and mysteriously show up one day and try to live their lives. The twist is that the returned people do not realize they have been dead for years.
According to Deadline, the second season is just about to start production, and will premiere in the US sometime later this year.
The Writer’s Room was also renewed by Sundance, which takes us into the writing process behind some of our favorite series like House Of Cards, Sons Of Anarchy and The Good Wife.
