After what turned out to be a surprisingly short wait for Miley Cyrus to reach 13 million followers, we have finally been “treated” to the revelation of her new album title – “BANGERZ”.
Since she dropped the scandalous “We Can’t Stop” video, there has been a buzz surrounding the starlet’s new album title but nobody was quite prepared for what happened once Cyrus’ tweets raced through cyberspace to surprise us all. She attempted to justify the album title, which evidently takes an all capital form, similar to the upcoming ARTPOP.

After Lady Gaga’s “Burqa/Aura” leaked earlier today, it has been a strange albeit exciting day for pop music as we know it. As expected, the public reaction to the title reveal has been mixed with many commenting on the ambiguous title: Fans are up in arms regarding their idol’s name choice but many have taken to making jokes to lighten the mood.
At least if the album does well, Miley can release a remix version of the album called Bangerz n’ Mashups.

Continuing to move away from her pop princess persona, Cyrus has rid herself of any affiliation with Disney and is keen to start afresh with album number four… sorry,BANGERZ. But who can blame her? After all, she really is “just being Miley”.
