Batman is Getting His Own “Lego Movie” Spinoff

This year’s mega hit animated film The Lego Movie was hilarious on so many levels, but one can’t deny that most of the laughs came from Batman, played so brilliantly by Will Arnett. Apparently, the character was so popular, he is getting his own spinoff film.

However, the downside is that the sequel to The Lego Movie itself will now be pushed back to sometime after 2017, to allow for the next Lego movie, Ninjago to be released in September 2016, with the Batman spinoff premiering sometime in 2017, in the space presumably occupied formerly by The Lego Movie 2.

Of course, right now plot details are almost non- existent, and the only news confirmed is that Will Arnett will be reprising the role.
