Batman-to-be, Ben Affleck has been banned for life from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino after security discovered him counting cards. This according to a source cited by TMZ.
Ben Affleck was in Las Vegas with wife Jennifer Garner when the incident happened. The couple were said to be taking a romantic getaway before Ben starts shooting for the upcoming Batman Vs Superman film. According to an unnamed source, Ben Affleck was playing in the high rollers table last Tuesday when personnel (using the hotel’s security cameras) noticed him counting cards. He was told, “You’re too good at this game,” by hotel security and then was given a lifetime ban from playing blackjack in the Hard Rock Hotel, although he will still be allowed in the casino floor and could still play other games. Security then arranged a car to bring him back to the hotel he is staying in.
Counting cards is not exactly illegal, but is obviously frowned upon by casinos. Ben Affleck is a well-known card shark and has played in the World Series of Poker with best friend Matt Damon. Back in 2001 he played three $20,000 blackjack hands at once, and won $800,000 by the end of the game.
