The upcoming Man of Steel sequel, currently known as Batman vs Superman, is making progress to setup a future Justice League team and presumably a feature film. Theatre actor Ray Fisher, who recently screen tested for the new Star Wars film, has been selected for the role of Cyborg in the new DC film according to Variety.
Cyborg is half man half machine and mainly recognizable for his affiliation to the Teen Titans, but has also been among the Justice League roster in recent years. It’s said that his role will be fairly small in the movie, but will merely serve as an introduction for him in the future DC universe films.
Zack Snyder will continue as the director, and production is currently beginning in Michigan with a May 6th, 2016 slated release date.
The Man of Steel sequel will star; Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and well known comic villain Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg.
