Those of you waiting for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot are going to have to wait a little longer!

Paramount studios have now moved the Michael Bay-produced film back for a second time, now by two extra months from June to August 2014. Despite the original May release date, fans will now have to wait till the summer to see Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard as the famous turtles.

Immediate speculation suggests this move is due to the competition faced in blockbuster movies throughout the summer months, specifically those targeting younger audiences during the time off school. May and June 2014 will see the release of anticipated family films including the DreamWorks sequel How To Train Your Dragon 2 and Disney’s The Good Dinosaur, as well as the fourth instalment in Paramount’s Transformers franchise.
