BAZINGA! CBS has just announced that they will renew The Big Bang Theory for another THREE seasons!
According to calculations, this will push the series into the 10-season mark by the time we get into 2016-2017, according to E! Online.
Sheldon, Leonard, Penny and the gang rake in an estimated 19 million viewers each week and the numbers keep growing!
“Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and The Big Bang Theory is the biggest comedy force on television,” CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler said in a press release Wednesday.
Series star and fan favorite Jim Parsons has won three Emmy awards for his portrayal of zany-brainy Dr. Sheldon Cooper, and with a guaranteed three more seasons ahead, he has a huge chance of adding to his collection.
“This multi-year deal further strengthens our network’s position for future seasons and marks another chapter in the great partnership CBS enjoys with Warner Bros. Television for delivering audiences the best in comedy,” Tassler continued.
Congratulations to the cast and crew behind the show! You can catch The Big Bang Theory Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
