Earlier this evening there was a tinkling of information going around about the first trailer for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary being released tomorrow (October 19), and we can now tell you that there will be!

Unfortunately, the trailer will not include any scenes from the episode itself, but as the tweet from BBC One says, it will be a celebration of the 50 years.

The press release given out by the BBC gave readers a hint at what to expect during tomorrow’s trailer:

“Travelling through time fans will be taken on a journey from the very beginning using state of the art technology.  The special trailer is set to show all of the Doctors as they first appeared on screen, including William Hartnell in high res colour for the very first time, as celebrations ramp up to the 23 November.”

The trailer will be one minute long and air at around 8:20 PM (BST); after Strictly Come Dancing. For those not lucky enough to watch the trailer as it airs it will be posted immediately after on the Doctor Who website.

So while we still anxiously await an actual trailer for “The Day of the Doctor” we will have a nice little celebration of what we all love to hold us over until it is released.

“The Day of the Doctor” will be simulcast around the world on November 23rd. It will feature John Hurt, Matt Smith, David Tennant, Billie Piper, and Jenna Louise Coleman.
