Don’t be afraid to cry.

Beyoncé held tribute in honor of one of her youngest, and biggest, fans after she had succumbed to her battle with cancer earlier last week. Even at just 15 years old, Chelsea Lee James was inarguably one of the pop goddess’ greatest fans, having even been brought-up on-stage by the singer to be given a memorable commemorative performance of “Halo” way back in 2009 during a concert in Sydney.

In a note written to Chelsea’s mother, Donna, Bey noted that she looked up to Chelsea as a beautiful girl who touched her heart whom she would never forget. In addition to the hand-written note, Beyoncé sent 90 white roses in dedication of Chelsea to the James family and wished them her sincerest condolences as they mourn the death of their loved one.

In November of 2013, Beyoncé and Chelsea reunited during the superstar’s Mrs. Carter show with thanks to the children’s cancer charity, Camp Quality, in which she dedicated a performance of the Destiny’s Child smash hit “Survivor” to the Aussie teen.

This just goes to show that there’s much more than meets the eye with Bey; she’s a multi-layered individual capable of real emotion – something we often forget when it comes to the world of pop.
