Beyonce and Jay Z saw their On The Run tour coming to an end on Sunday, and so they released the first part of “Bang Bang”. There will be another couple of parts to follow, leading to Saturday when the couple will see their new special premiering on HBO.
Directed by well-known filmmaker and photographer, Dikayl Rimmasch, the two of them are found in another modern-day Bonnie and Clyde scenario. The three-minute clip could be taken straight from a silent cinema movie, as it’s in black and white and there are no spoken parts throughout. The songstress is seen doing her thing on stage, old-school style, before she joins her husband and they run away from everything.
It’s been quite the norm for them to come off as the well-known partners-in-crime for quite a while now. The two have previously collaborated on the songs “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Part II (On The Run)”, in both of which they play a modern Bonnie and Clyde. As Jay Z has said about On The Run though, they’re not presenting themselves as the infamous couple literally; they are only showing how they’re constantly on the run from not repeating themselves and becoming a cliché.
Take a look at the clip.
