Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki is about to embark on a new adventure that would sound absurd to Leonard Hofstadter.
Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter and Digital Spy have reported that the Emmy-nominated actor is collaborating with former ABC Entertainment chief Stephen McPherson as co-executive producers for an upcoming multi-camera comedy.
Global Post also described the male lead in Galecki’s comedy, titled Here’s Your Damn Family, as a “stunted, set-in-his-way” 30-year-old single man who still lives with his mother.
His life is turned upside-down when his mother remarries and his new stepfather and three new step-siblings move in to his home.
Joining Galecki and McPherson on this juncture is comedy writer Jeff Blitt, who wrote for several shows including the Jeff Foxworthy Show, Brotherly Love and Family Guy. Blitt is the series creator for the project.
This is not the first time Galecki and Blitt worked together, as the duo previously worked on an unaired 2002 Fox sitcom called Becoming Glen, which Deadline reports has similarities with Here’s Your Damn Family.
Here’s Your Damn Family will be produced by Wonder Monkey Productions, Candy Bar Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
