Even as a longtime fan of the show, this makes SO MUCH SENSE!!
Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly had some pretty big Idol news during a recent conference call. While discussing the state of the long running show (entering season 14 in January), Kevin dropped a bombshell:
“”(It) will quite likely end up as a two-hour show on one night for most of its run.”
Reilly was sure to make a point of saying that the show will stick to a 2 night format during the auditions phase, and even addressed the judges and Ryan Seacrest. People Magazine broke some news that all 3 of the current judges would return, but did Kevin echo that?
He only calls it “likely”, but says Ryan will be back for sure.
What do you guys think of this? Are you happy Idol will be moving to a one night format? It’s worked with other reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with The Stars!!
