Bill Murray In Talks To Join Emma Stone And Rachel McAdams In Cameron Crowe’s Untitled Rom-Com

Bill Murray, 63, is in talks to join Cameron Crowe’s forthcoming romantic comedy, according to The Wrap.

The yet to be titled film already boasts a prolific cast that includes Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin, and Jay Baruchel.

The film – which is an updated version of Crowe’s old script for “Deep Tiki” – tells the story of a defence contractor (Cooper) who is overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii. He teams up with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to scuttle the launch and, not surprisingly, sparks fly between the pair. Mystical island forces and a talking computer also reportedly play a role in the film, which should make it quite interesting to say the least.

McAdams is set to play the ex-girlfriend of Cooper’s character, while Baruchel will take on the role of his step brother. No word yet on who Murray may be playing if he does indeed joins the project.

The Scott Rudin-produced film began shooting back on September 26 in Hawaii. It is planned to be released sometime next year.

Murray will next be seen in The Monuments Men, alongside George Clooney (who also wrote and directed the film), Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Jean Dujardin, and John Goodman. It is scheduled to arrive in theatres on December 18.
