Later this month The Late Show with David Letterman will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than with a throwback to its first episode.
Actor Bill Murray was the first guest on the show back in 1993, and will be returning for his 26th guest appearance for the anniversary episode airing Thursday, August 29, CBS announced.
David Letterman’s show has since won nine Emmy Awards, and nominated a whopping 73 times. Thursday will be the 3,897 episode of the show and has held four primetime specials.
Murray can be next seen in George Clooney’s The Monuments Men premiering December 18.
