Gamers, have we got news for you! Let’s just cut to the chase. BioShock Infinite’s “Burial at Sea – Episode Two” has a new addition.
Inspired by Thief: The Dark Project, the game now has an option mode. What’s it called? Simply 1998 Mode.
What’s it do? It allows players to have the challenge of completing the game with stealth. You even have “non-lethal means to take down enemies.” Players also get to control Elizabeth for the first time in the game’s history.
Ken Levine, the Creative Director of the project, gave some in-depth insight into the creation of the game. ” We put a focus on balance and stealth mechanics. As we were developing this new style of gameplay, we started to see people self-impose non-lethal playthroughs.”
Earlier, Irrational Games released a 1999 Mode. It made the game harder with less “spawn points, ammo and health and the removal of auto-aim.” Surprisingly, the extension was a hit. The response to this Mode inspired the new one.
“Burial at Sea – Episode Two” will is scheduled to hit stores on March 25 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It will sell for £9.99 ($14.99) and up.
Are you excited? Will you get the game extension?
