I guess Bob Newhart’s guest-starring character on The Big Bang Theory has the same opinion about Sheldon Cooper as the rest of the world. That is if we can judge that by the exclusive clip that The Hollywood Reporter has shared with all us nerdmigos this week.
In the clip, Professor Proton aka Arthur Jeffers (played by Newhart) has been apparently hired by Sheldon after our favorite Bazinga spouting nerd has found out that the former host of his favorite science show is still in the business of entertaining the kiddies. Sheldon starts to fanboy over him in the clip, which kinda alarms the older man and causes him to question Sheldon’s mental state to both Leonard and Penny.
Newhart’s appearance in the episode titled “The Proton Resurgence” is set for a May 2nd airing on CBS at 8pm (check your local listings). In the meantime, check out the clip here and find out whom Professor Proton thinks is the real genius and the reason why he does!
