obby Brown’s recent comments regarding his daughter have left the public with more questions than answers concerning the current condition of Bobbi Kristina.
While performing at a concert in Dallas, Texas on April 18, Brown told the audience, “Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me. So don’t believe what you read. No life support. Nothing. She’s breathing on her own. She’s living on her own.”
Now members of Brown’s camp are backpedaling from Brown’s seemingly unfounded proclamation.
The singer’s attorney issued a statement declaring only that Bobbi Kristina’s condition had improved since the 22-year-old was moved from Atlanta’s Emory Hospital to a rehabilitation center. The message also stated:
Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come.
The singer’s wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, also told press that Bobby was in “an emotional state” when he made the announcement on stage.
It is still unclear if Bobbi Kristina’s condition has actually shown any change at all. Bobby Brown’s sister, Tina, posted on Facebook on April 19 that Bobbi Kristina, “Woke up and is no longer on life support.” The post was later deleted, however, and other family sources have declared that the young woman’s medical status has not shown any change since she was first admitted to the hospital.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, has been hospitalized since Jan. 31 of this year when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home. She has spent most of that time in a medically-induced coma.
