Walter White may be gone, but in the wake of Breaking Bad‘s end, Bryan Cranston’s career has never been hotter. As a matter of fact, the Emmy-winning actor will very soon be making his Broadway debut. He’s set to star on the Great White Way as Lyndon B. Johnson in a play titled All The Way.
The show, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan, begins with the assassination of Johnson’s predecessor, John F. Kennedy. It encapsulates the first year of his presidency, amidst the rockiness of the civil rights movement – particularly Johnson’s passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Thus far, only Bryan Cranston has been confirmed for the show’s move to New York. All The Way is currently in the midst of a sold out run in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the American Repertory Theater. It has received fairly favorable reviews, and exceptionally positive notes on Cranston’s performance in particular. As a matter of fact, PopWrapped will be seeing and reviewing the show next week, so keep an eye out for that.
We can expect to see All The Way hit Broadway sometime this winter, although a more precise date has not yet been announced.
