It’s finally here! The Madden Brothers album is just around the corner!
After four years of waiting, Good Charlotte fans will be ecstatic to know the name of the Madden Brothers album: “Dear Jane & California Rain.”
Joel Madden announced the name of the album with this tweet:
Madden Brothers Record will be called “Dear Jane & California Rain” Named after the first songs we wrote for each Side of the record… — Joel Madden (@JoelMadden) February 13, 2014
He gave a little bit more information with a second tweet:
Side 1 “Dear Jane” was produced by Eric Valentine, and Side 2 “California Rain” was produced by Joe Chiccarelli. #DearJane & #CaliforniaRain — Joel Madden (@JoelMadden) February 13, 2014

Eric Valentine has been working with the Maddens since 2002’s The Young and the Hopeless, Good Charlotte’s second album which has sold over 4.9 million copies. Joe Chiccarelli has worked with artists such as The Strokes, Oingo Boingo, The Killers, and Elton John. His works have received three Grammy Awards.
The Maddens have been promising a new, more mellow sound. This is “Brother”, performed last year on 60 Minutes Australia:
Now that we know the name, it shouldn’t be long before we get to hear the finished album, but until then, look out for Team Madden on The Voice Kids Australia.
