After 18 years of what appeared to be utter marital bliss, Antonia Banderas and Melanie Griffith have reached the end of their rope.
56-year-old Griffith filed for divorce from 53-year-old Banderas, wherein she cited “irreconcilable difference;” also known as “The Blanket Hollywood Divorce Citation.”
Although the split is said to be amicable and desired by both parties, Griffith appears to have some serious demands. She is requesting sole physical and joint legal custody of their daughter Stella, as well as child support. Though, that won’t last for too terribly long as Stella turns 18 this September. Griffth is also requesting spousal support.
This marks the fourth divorce for Griffith and the second for Banderas. And for a couple who said they could never split because the sex is too good, this seems especially sad.
