It’s in an interview he gave to Vice that the American Psycho writer declared that he was going to write a film for Kanye West.  Indeed, Kanye has been interested in cinema for years ( in 2010, his album Dark Twisted Fantasy had came out with a 30 minutes video entitled “Runaway”) and he asked the author to write a movie for him.

“He came and asked me to write the film. I didn’t want to at first. The I listened to Yeezus. It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He’d given me an advance copy and I thought, regardless of whether I’m right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this ».

Kanye West seems to admire the author a lot. He even realized a short film inspired by American Psycho for the E! channel.

However, it’s impossible for the moment to know more about this surprising collaboration since Kanye West keeps everything related to the project confidential. Bret Easton Ellis only declared that, “…if you’re just alone with him in a room talking for three hours, it’s kind of mind-blowing.”

So, wait and see!
