Brett Nichols has basically put all our moonwalk attempts to shame!
This 17 year old was first filmed showing off his dance powers in his school gym and blew the crowd away with his “Billie Jean” performance, now he’s setting the internet on fire again with his “Smooth Criminal” video that he recently posted on YouTube.
The internet dance sensation has been doing his Michael Jackson dance impressions since 2001 when the young boy saw a video of Michael Jackson dazzle a crowd with his singing and legendary moves. It was then that he started practicing his Jackson impersonation, and now at 17 his phenomenal dance skills have brought the teen unexpected fame!
After his school performance scored him and his family a ticket to see Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas, he was interviewed by TODAY.com and also released his newest video, “Smooth Criminal”.
“This is something you only see on TV,” he told TODAY.com. “I didn’t think it would be me. It’s incredible and tiring — it has its ups and downs. My parents were pretty speechless that I was getting so much attention for something I’d been doing for so long.” Not only is he taking his sudden fame with a pinch of salt, he’s already inspiring with his words, “I feel like maybe everything can be possible in your career,” he said. “Become an enigma of entertainment. It’s good to have some kind of variety with what you do in the entertainment business. I’d like to direct, dance, everything. Why not just try and do it all?”
