Bridget Moynahan, 42, is joining the cast of the revenge thriller John Wick, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Moynahan joins Keanu Reeves, Willem Dafoe, Michael Nyqvist and Jason Isaacs on the project.
The forthcoming action flick tells the story of John Wick (Reeves), a former hit-man who is out to seek revenge after thugs steal his car and kill his dog. By doing so, he becomes the target of a manhunt led by a Russian crime boss (Nyqvist).
Dafoe plays one of Wick’s old friends, who is hired by Nyqvist’s character to hunt down Wick. Moynahan will play Wick’s deceased wife, who will appear in the film’s flashbacks.
John Wick marks the directing debuts of stunt performers David Leitch and Chad Stahelski. One in the Chamber’s Derek Kolstad penned the screenplay.
Filming is already underway in Mill Neck, New York with a due date of sometime next year.
Moynahan is best known for her roles in the action blockbuster I, Robot, opposite Will Smith and the CBS television drama Blue Bloods. Next up, she has film roles in Joel Surnow’s Small Time and Roger Spottiswoode’s Midnight Sun.
