Popular British comedian and presenter Frank Skinner will be a guest star in the new series of Doctor Who airing this autumn. The appearance is a dream come true for the longtime fan of the Sci-fi phenomenon.
Skinner gushed: “I love this show. I subscribe to Doctor Who Magazine, I’ve got a TARDIS ringtone, a five-foot cardboard Dalek in my bedroom and when I got the call saying they wanted me to read for the part, I was in the back of my tour bus watching episode three of The Sensorites. I am beyond excited.”
There’s no word on the details of Skinner’s role, but Doctor Who head honcho Steven Moffat promises it will brings the laughs and “showcase all of Frank’s famous wit and charm.”
Skinner already has a history with Doctor Who as he previously appeared in the comedic tribute to the show’s 50th anniversary entitled The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot.
