Britney Spears’ Conservatorship To Last….A Lifetime?!

It may sound drastic, but it’s working. Britney Spears may be locked into her father’s conservatorship for her lifetime, according to new reports.

It sounds drastic…but it works.

Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship by her father Jamie for 7 and a half years, and as of right now, there are no plans to scrap it.

We don’t need reminders as to how bad our beloved Louisiana pop star was in 2007, and sources are saying she’s come a long way. Sources close to the Spears family, were in fear that Brit would end up dead, hence why the conservatorship was placed.

What many of you may not know, is that there are actually 2 conservatorships for Britney:

One for the money, and one for her specifically.

Britney has stabilized so well over the years, that she’s finally been able to have a social life, as well as being a great mother to both her boys. Back in 2007, she was on the verge of losing permanent custody to ex Kevin Federline.

The money side of the conservatorship has also seen major success. Just last year alone, Brit raked in $14 million on just one aspect of her finances. Many think Spears was close to bankrupt years ago, but thankfully due to the conservatorship, her finances are now doing exceptionally well.

The point of all of this being possibly extended indefinitely, is that the family fears that if they were to remove Britney from the conservatorship, she would fall back into old habits. The last few years have been VERY well to our girl, and we don’t want to see that happen.
