David Tennant revealed that he has absolutely no idea what to expect for Detective Alec Hardy, his Broadchurch character.
The former Doctor Who star said he is in the dark over creator Chris Chibnall’s plans for the second season of the ITV crime drama. “We don’t know where the characters are going. We don’t know the story he is telling. Some people say they are in it, I’m not sure that they do, though,” Tennant said in an interview with Metro.
“I was dying of a heart attack so I don’t know how able Alec Hardy will be to do any more crimefighting, we will have to see,” Tennant added. However fear not, Tennant fans. If Hardy dies, your favorite former Doctor will still be on your screens.
The Broadchurch actor will appear in the US remake Gracepoint as Chief Detective Emmett Carver. Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn will take on the role of Detective Ellie Miller.
Nick Nolte and Broadchurch star David Bradley will join Tennant and Gunn in the remake.
