Stephen Schwartz told Vulture.com not too long ago that all kinds of works were done around a recently confirmed Wicked movie, since the movie of the new musical Houdini has been put on hold.

The writers are trying to work as creative as possibly in telling Elphaba’s and Glinda’s story in a completely new way.

The fact that Houdini is not going to be finished for now doesn’t come very surprisingly, as Hugh Jackman dropped out a few months ago.

Schwartz states that he thought Jackman didn’t know how much work a new musical really was, which could have been a reason for him not being able to star in it.

Although we still don’t know how long to go until the release of the movie Wicked, we are eagerly waiting to see it!
