Bruce Jenner will be heading to court in a wrongful death lawsuit. The family of the woman killed in Jenner’s car crash on February 7 will be seeking compensation from the reality star.
69-year-old Kim Howe of California was killed on the Pacific Coast Highway when Jenner’s car struck her Lexus from behind and sent it into the path of an oncoming Hummer.
A widow, Howe left behind no immediate family. By California law her two stepchildren are still eligible to file suit. Neither of the stepchildren live in California, and sources told TMZ neither had a close relationship with Howe.
Although the case is still under investigation, it is unlikely that Jenner will face criminal charges as a result of the accident.
Authorities determined Jenner was not speeding, texting, or driving under the influence at the time of the crash. The former Olympian claims he was being chased by multiple paparazzi vehicles before the accident occurred.
