Bryan Singer Set To Bring Some First Class To X-Men: Apocalypse

The X-Men: Apocalypse storyline reportedly will focus on the First Class cast and branch away from the forthcoming Days of Future Past movie.

According to Vulture, they’ve confirmed that director Bryan Singer will be behind the camera for Apocalypse. As for who will be appearing in front of the camera, Vulture says it will be the returning members of the X-Men: First Class cast, with the storyline for Apocalypse presumably taking place in their timeline. X-Men: Apocalypse will not feature the senior members of the franchise’s cast – including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry – many of whom will appear in next summer’s Days of Future Past.

As you all know, Days features a combination of cast members from First Class and the original trilogy; the former being represented by James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique). You can expect them to be involved with X-Men Apocalypse too.

X-Men Days of Future Past is scheduled to open on May 23, 2014 while X-Men Apocalypse is slated to hit theaters May 27, 2016.
