Bunbury Music Festival Buzzes Into Cincinnati

Stick with us for all your Bunbury festival needs! We’ll be covering everything from the venue to the music–and maybe some food!

One look at the Spotify playlist doesn’t do justice to Bunbury’s eclectic lineup. Even the most connected music fan can be overwhelmed by the depth and quality of artists descending upon Cincinnati’s riverfront. Luckily, for those of us going, the good folks hosting the 4th annual Bunbury Music Festival have crafted the perfect app to keep music fans in the know.

The app features the daily schedule, stage locations, and even food and beer vendors. Gone are the days of roughing it in the wilderness to witness such a wide array of bands. This year’s festival features some of the most well-known touring acts around, as well as a formidable collection of up-and-comers and popular local acts.

If these resources aren’t enough to get you in the summer festival mood, your friends at PopWrapped are here to help! With an assist from music enthusiast/ Bunbury correspondent Becky, here are some of the can’t-miss acts taking the stage this weekend:

Obviously the headliners- The Black Keys and The Avett Brothers are two of the biggest touring acts around. They each bring their own brand of crowd-pleasing tunes that will certainly keep the crowd on its feet. Snoop Dogg closes out the weekend’s festivities. The Doggfather of rap is as recognizable to the hip hop scene as anyone going today, and brings an amazing band and a ton of energy to the show.

Walk the Moon comes home to kick off the weekend. Their set will be full of energy and fun, playing catchy pop tunes like the Song of the Summer, “Shut Up and Dance.”

Atmosphere is a legend in the indie hip hop scene. Made up of MC Slug and producer/DJ/mastermind Ant, the duo has been churning out thought-provoking rap and hip hop since 1989. Hearing this song will be a personal highlight of this writer’s weekend.

Twenty One Pilots make a stopover from their hometown of Columbus to rock Cincinnati for a night. Their latest effort, Blurryface, debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Old Crow Medicine Show brings their high-energy act to Cincy as well. Being right on the river, we can expect to hear an amazing version of their biggest hit, “Wagon Wheel.” (Thanks, Hootie!)
