Bundle Up: Frozen 2 Is Official

On Thursday (March 12), Disney confirmed that the sequel to the hit animated movie “Frozen” is officially happening.

It turns out we couldn’t “Let it Go.”

Yes, soon we will be building another snowman, as Disney has announced that Frozen 2 is officially in the works.

We shouldn’t be surprised, should we? Frozen was a critical and commercial success, becoming thehighest-grossing animated film of 2013, winning best song and animated feature at the Academy Awards, and tormenting parents with constant barrages of “Let it Go” being played for months on end.

But we all secretly love the song, don’t we?

Even Kristen Bell, who voiced Anna in the original and the short Frozen Fever (which will air beforeCinderella in a cinema near you soon) tweeted to announce the news, and her return. And in true Kristen Bell fashion, it was hilarious and adorable.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will return to the sequel, as is producer Peter Del Vechoare, who also worked on Frozen are currently working on the sequel.

It seems that all the original cast members —Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad—are ready to join the sequel and reprise their roles, and we just have to wait and see how the story unfolds.
