“Liberating” “Empowering” “Dreamy.”
These are just a few words used by Friends alum, Jennifer Aniston, to describe just how nice it is to go completely make-up free in her upcoming movie, Cake.
The We’re the Millers actress stopped by the Deadline 2014 Contenders panel at the DGA Theater in Hollywood on Saturday to talk about what she calls her little “love project.” Aniston plays the role of Claire Simmons. She is recovering from a car crash that left her traumatized, with scars all over her body.
Daniel Barnz, the director of Cake, suggested taking such a bold move. He told Variety in September, that it’s “true to the character: this is a woman who doesn’t take care of herself.”
Aniston’s transformation created substantial buzz at the Toronto Film Festival Premiere. The cast received a standing ovation and her performance was praised on social media.
