‘Cake’ Trailer Teases Jennifer Aniston’s Outstanding Performance

Jennifer Aniston stars in upcoming drama, Cake, and the first trailer is now out, teasing her outstanding performance.

Jennifer Aniston is well-known for starring in Friends as Rachel Green and for her roles in various romantic comedies. This year, she’s changing her acting direction by starring into an much talked-about drama, Cake, and the film’s trailer has now found its way online.

Cake tells the story of Claire Simmons, an acerbic woman with chronic pain issues, who is left devastated when a lady from her support group commits suicide. After her death, Claire tries to make things better for herself, by entering the life of the late woman’s husband and son. Jennifer Aniston went free of make-up for the role and even though you can still tell it’s her, she looks a lot different indeed.

If anything is to notice in the short clip, it’s that Jennifer Aniston really pulls off the role of Claire Simmons perfectly. She really seems to be feeling the pain and is seen expressing a whole lot of emotion, showing off her acting talent and reaching new extents, delivering an incredible performance. She really is Claire. The critics are stunned already, so if that film can’t win her an Oscar, then we don’t know which one can. In any case, she definitely seems to be worth it.

Alongside Jennifer Aniston, Cake stars Adriana Barraza, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington.  Daniel Barnz is on direction duties, taking from a script written by Patrick Tobin.

Take a look at the trailer below.
